BONE HEALTH EDUCATION SESSIONS
Osteoporosis is a condition where bones become less dense, weaker, and therefore have a greater risk of fracturing. ‘Healthy Bones Australia’ reports that 66% of Australians over the age of 50 years have osteoporosis or osteopenia, and that over 173,000 broken bones occur each year due to poor bone health alone.
The good news is there are several things that can be done to improve bone health. Research shows that specific exercise that involve loading your bones is most beneficial. Our Bone Health Program is based on quality research with proven results to improve bone density and reduce falls in people with osteoporosis and osteopenia.
Come along to our Bone Health Education Session to learn more. Jason will answer the following:
- What is osteoporosis?
- What are the risk factors for osteoporosis?
- What exercise can I do to improve my bone health?
- What does the Bone Health Program involve?
